I have been writing musical notes since 1963. In 1967, I wrote the first musical note of TCMS. Those years, we used to use tracing paper and copy it by blueprint. The first musical note, that I wrote for TSMC, is "Endülüs'te Raks (Dance in Al-Andalus)". When I analyze that note today, I can see many mistakes. However, time brings new solutions to this issue. Today, I use Finale
Software for musical note writing. Great visual results can be obtained by this way. In addition, musical notes can be listened.
My archive has increased so fast since that time.
It became a very extensive archive with my old Turkish Notes, books left from my grandpa and father. With the other sources including TRT notes, 30 000 musical notes is available in my archive.
I examine all sources in process of note writing. I write only the most correct one. Lastly, I wrote the musical notes which will be included in new book of Erol
Sayan. He is examining that notes. Moreover, I wrote musical notes of Erol Sayan's all compositions included TRT
repertory.
I always reexamine my notes including mistakes and correct them.
Sincerely
Mehmet Reşat ÖNAL
